About
Kairo Reef is a South Florida reggae project that originally emerged in the summer of 2024 when its founder set out to channel a lifelong love of the genre into original music of his own. Determined to honor reggae’s rich tradition while carving a fresh creative path, Kairo Reef wasted no time in making his mark, and the rest, as they say, was history.
Building on the groundwork laid by legends from Sublime and Rebelution to roots reggae icons Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, and Barrington Levy and beyond, Kairo Reef distills the warmth of Jamaican roots reggae and the sun-soaked energy of the Cali reggae movement into a distinctive feel-good signature sound that is just as electric in the studio as on stage, and has earned him a diverse and growing fanbase over a series of gigs and releases to date.
Now with a host of achievements already under his belt — including a string of singles, a collaboration with celebrated Cali reggae artist Josh Heinrichs, nearly 50,000 Spotify streams on breakout single “Cinderella,” and sharing the stage with Jakob Nowell of the iconic Sublime and reggae-rock outfit Fayuca — Kairo Reef’s momentum is at an all-time high as he prepares for his biggest year yet. A debut album is already in the works alongside plans for festival appearances and more live shows, all to be officially announced in due time.
